ISACA Chicago Chapter Scholarship

 

This scholarship is open to associate, bachelor's, and master's students pursuing a degree related to IT audit, risk, security, assurance, or cybersecurity at a college or university in the state of Illinois. Please review the scholarship offering and criteria below, and apply today!

Scholarship Offering:

We will an academic scholarship of $2,000 each, to six (6) selected students (2 for associate, 2 for bachelor's, and 2 master's students) who meet the criteria below. Scholarship money will be disbursed directly to the awardee’s school in January 2026, and must be used for the school the recipient is attending in 2026. Awardees will also receive an ISACA Career Building Bundle to help continue your education and launch your IT career.

Eligibility:

  1. Be 18 years of age or older.
  2. Be pursuing an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree at a school in the state of Illinois.
  3. Be pursuing a degree in IT audit, risk, security, assurance and cybersecurity.
  4. Have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA):
    • Undergraduate students: a minimum 3.00 (out of 4.0)
    • Graduate students: have a minimum 3.25 (out of 4.0). 
  5. Recipients within the previous 12 months are not eligible to apply.

How to Apply:

  1. Sign in or create a free ISACA account to apply. If you have appplied for an ISACA Foundation scholarship before, you may sign in using that account.
  2. Complete the scholarship application (link above), including submitting any supporting information:
    1. Proof of GPA.

Recipient Commitments:

  1. Recipients agree to actively contribute to the establishment or management of their school’s ISACA Student Group operations for a minimum of two semesters, helping to foster engagement and leadership within the student community.
  2. Recipients will have the opportunity to participate in an ISACA Chicago Chapter’s in-person event and gain valuable networking experiences.
  3. Recipients will have the opportunity to engage with experienced professionals through the ISACA Chicago Chapter’s mentorship program, gaining guidance, support, and insights to help advance their academic and career goals.
  4. Recipients agree to communicate with the ISACA Foundation twice a year for two years regarding school and career trajectory after the scholarship.

    • One ISACA Virtual Conference registration (where you will benefit from speakers who are renowned experts in their fields)

    • Resources to start an ISACA Student Group at your university or college (as applicable)
    • Access to additional ISACA and ISACA Foundation resources
