ISACA Greater Washington DC Chapter Scholarship
This scholarship is open to students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree related to cybersecurity or IT audit at George Mason University, George Washington University, and Howard University. Please review the scholarship offering and criteria below, and apply today!

Scholarship Offering:
We will award academic scholarships of $3,000 each to 3 (three) students who meet the criteria below. Scholarship money will be disbursed to the awardee's school in two payments: $1,500 in August 2026 and $1,500 in January 2027. Scholarship money must be used for the school they are attending in 2026. Awardees will also receive an ISACA Career Building Bundle to help continue their education and launch their IT career.
Eligibility:
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Be enrolled in:
- George Mason University,
- George Washington University, or
- Howard University.
- Be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree related to cybersecurity or IT audit.
- Be graduating in or after May 2026.
How to Apply:
- Sign in or create a free ISACA account to apply. If you have applied for an ISACA Foundation scholarship before, you may sign in using that account.
- Complete the scholarship application (link at the top), including submitting any supporting information.
Recipient Commitments:
- Recipients at George Mason University agree to pursue ISACA Student Group leadership and be involved in the organization's operations and planning for at least two semesters.
- Recipient at George Washington University and Howard University agree to work with the ISACA Greater Washington DC chapter to start an ISACA Student Group at their school in 2025.
- Recipients must agree to attend four chapter events in 2025 (onboarding, in-person annual general meeting, mentorship, and university event)
- Recipients must agree to communicate with the ISACA Foundation twice a year for two years regarding school and career trajectory after the scholarship award.
- Recipients must agree to use the scholarship funds for:
- Full-time enrollment
- Part-time enrollment
- Credit courses
- Registration tuition and other school fees
- School books, supplies, and essential technology.
ISACA Career Building Bundle:
- One year of ISACA student membership (giving you access to career pathway and advancement events and webinars)
- One ISACA certificate online review course from the options listed below. Read more about each on ISACA website
- One ISACA Virtual Conference registration (where you will benefit from speakers who are renowned experts in their fields)
- ISACA’s Mentorship Program (giving you access to certified digital trust professionals as mentors)
- Resources to start an ISACA Student Group at your university or college (as applicable)
- Access to additional ISACA and ISACA Foundation resources
