Annual Timeline

June 1: Call for nominations opens.

August 15: Nomination process closes. Endorsement letters are due by this date.

September-October: Peer-review of nominations and final approval of the recipients by the ISACA Awards Working Group.

November: ISACA notifies the recipients and begins planning the presentations. ISACA also notifes the nominators of the unsuccessful candidates. All communication is done with the nominator; it is the nominator's responsibility to disseminate any notices to endorsers (or the candidate if he/she is aware of the nomination) as appropriate.

Following calendar year: Chapter Award presentations

Presentations

Chapter Awards are typically presented at the funded regional leadership meetings. In years where a Global Leadership Summit is organized, all chapter awards will be presented there instead.

The officers attending the leadership meeting accept the K. Wayne Snipes Best Chapter Award and the Innovative Program Award. Individuals selected as recipients of the Outstanding Chapter Leader Award will be invited to attend the applicable presentation (in addition to the chapter officers slated to attend the meeting).

Prize Items

Recipients of the K. Wayne Snipes Best Chapter Award and the Innovative Chapter Program Award will receive a prize item for the chapter to display as well as an electronic badge to share on their website.

Recipients of the Outstanding Chapter Leader Award will receive a prize item for display, registration and the following travel expenses to attend their regional or Global Leadership Summit presentation: up to US$1,000 travel expense reimbursement (in accordance with ISACA travel policies) and two-night’s room and tax at the host hotel.
